TRIPOLI HOUSTON conducts launches every month at the Hearne Municipal Airport in Hearne Tx, and our South site which is a members only site open February thru September. See launch table below. We launch everything from model rockets to monster high power rockets that push our site-specific rules and FAA waiver. New comers are always greeted with a smile. We look forward to meeting you at our next launch. for all launch forms click here.
To Fly you must be a member of TRA or NAR or under 18 years of age and have signed THRC waiver of release on file. if you have questions, contact use at link below:​
The Tripoli Houston South Site is closed for the season. Will reopen in Feb 2024.

Launch Locations Hearne municipal Airport and South Site
​Tripoli Houston launches the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. We will be launching everything from model rockets to monster high power rockets that push our FAA waiver of 17,500 feet. Newcomers are always greeted with a smile (especially if they bring kolaches. (It's a Tripoli Houston Thing) look forward to meeting you at our next launch.
Hearne municipal airport we launch the second Saturday of every month (weather permitting)
Tripoli Houston South Site - We will launch the 4th Saturday of each month weather permitting. February thru September. Current waiver is 17.5
(South Site is a Tripoli Houston Members only site and we will be required to register before attending.) For additional information. Please message us.
Launch site information
​Children are also welcome but will need to stay in there setup or tent area. When ready to fly we request that a parent guardian accompany children.
A hand washing station will be provided and hand sanitizer.
​It will be hot so do not forget to bring water sunscreen and shade.
We do have a restrooms available at both sites
​Launch time 9am to 3pm.
